I would like to test if my jamma PCB's still work but all 2 monitors of my Arcade Cabinets are broken. What is the easiest way to test whether they are still working properly? I still have a few PC montors, is that a possibility? Thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
Do a search on: Gonbes GBS8200 CGA/EGA/YUV/RGB to VGA. Don't forget to buy small power supply for this card.
It's an easy way to connect an Arcade board video output to a VGA (PC) monitor.

There are other solutions available, but this one is affordable.

You'll need some soldering or go between for the JAMMA connector to connect the RGB-HV.

ok, that doesn't look easy to me. I'm just plug and play, but I'm going to try. Thank you
or is a connection to TV perhaps easier?

Yes that's also a way. You need some resistors to match the RGB TV signal levels.
I did that when I started, but it was quick and dirty way.
It will still require some soldering, more than with the Gonbes board. (more components)
And you'll need a TV set with scart RGB.

PostSubject: Borne Alien 3 The game problème de freeze    Jamma/PCB testing Clock_9Fri 16 Apr 2021 - 7:54

Bonjour,
