Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base

The Bandai Card Division has released a teaser site for the new arcade card game Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base which is scheduled to start operations in 2021. A teaser visual using the Strike Gundam standing in a dark hangar and a silhouette photo of the game housing that seems to be a new model are posted.

The game genre is "real-time strategy type full-scale arcade card game" and the details of the game will be released in early March.

La division jeu de cartes de Bandai a publié un site teaser d'un nouveau jeu de cartes appelé Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base qui doit sortir en 2021. Le visuel montre le Strike Gundam debout dans un hangar sombre et une photo de la silhouette de la borne qui semble être un  nouveau modèle.

Le genre de jeu est un "jeu de cartes de type stratégie en temps réel" et les détails du jeu seront publiés début mars.

A Gundam Try Age linked campaign will start on March 13th. Players can get the promotion card PR-001 Gundam AGE-1 Normal. The campaign will end when all cards are distributed.

This is an RTS in which the player commands a unit of 5 mobile suit in order to destroy the mothership of his opponent. At the beginning of the game, MS and pilot cards can be purchased. The MS and pilot cards are inserted in 2 rows in the dedicated slots on the control panel with the MS on top and the pilot below. They are classified into 4 categories: Common, Rare, Master Rare and Perfect Rare. The player uses a touch screen to give orders, he does not directly control the MS so he has to build his team intelligently and get MS out of the base at the right time. The player has to take into account the type of pilot chosen and the abilities of the MS. There are three types of pilots: "annihilation" (priority to the attack), "suppression" (priority to the mothership and the base) and "defense" (priority to the base). There are also 3 types of MS: "short distance" (good for close combat), "long distance" (which allows to fight at distance) and "mobility" (which allows to move quickly). In addition, MS can use "abilities" and the extra super skill "tactical" skill when the "SP" gauge is full. In summary, the target is determined by the pilot and the type of attack by the MS. When the player creates his deck he has to think about the launch cost of each MS because if he only takes MS and pilots that cost too much, he may end up in a situation where he cannot get his MS out.

Il s'agit d'un RTS dans lequel le joueur commande une unité de 5 mobile suit afin de détruire le vaisseau-mère de son opposant. Au début de la partie, on peut acheter des cartes de MS et de pilotes. Une partie coûte 200 Yens.Les cartes de MS et de pilotes s'insèrent en 2 rangées dans les emplacements dédiés sur le control panel avec le MS au dessus et le pilote en dessous. Elles sont classées en 4 catégories: Common, Rare, Master Rare et Perfect Rare. Le joueur utilise un écran tactile pour donner ses ordres, il ne contrôle pas directement les MS donc il doit construire son équipe intelligemment et faire sortir des MS de la base au bon moment. Il doit donc tenir compte du type de pilote choisi et des abilités des MS. Il y a trois type de pilotes: "annihilation" (priorité à l'attaque), "suppression" (priorité au vaisseau mère et à la base et "defense" (priorité à la base). Il y a aussi 3 types de MS: "short distance" (bon au combat rapproché), "long distance" (qui permet de combattre à distance) et "mobility" (qui permet de bouger rapidement). De plus, les MS peuvent utiliser des "abilities" et l'extra super skill "tactical" skill quand la jauge "SP" est remplie. En résumé, la cible est déterminée par le pilote et le type d'attaque par le MS. Quand le joueur crée son deck il doit penser au coût de sortie de chaque MS parce que s'il ne prend que des MS et pilotes qui coûtent trop chers, il risque de se retrouver dans une situation où il ne pourra pas faire sortir ses MS.

Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base release date has been postponed to the beginning of 2022 following feedback from players during the location test, who asked for some changes, notably on the game's tempo.

MS cards in Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base have 'Abilities' that can be activated by paying a cost. Abilities have effects that help you build up your tactics, such as special attacks and support for your allies.
In SEASON:02, a large number of new abilities are available. These new abilities open up new deck-building possibilities and influence the war situation.
Transam: Significantly increases mobility and attack power for a certain period of time.
Surprise Attack: Performs a ranged attack at a specified location and moves to that point.
Binding Strike: Performs a single attack on an enemy unit, inflicting damage and incapacitating it for a certain period of time.
